Energy source: solar thermal panels (37 sqm)

- It ensures 95% of the annual heating and hot water requirements (estimated at 6 MWh for heating and 3 MWh for hot water per year)
- Underground reservoir for seasonal heat storage

Uses:
- Heating during winter
- Hot water year-round

Source: water well

Uses:
- Passive cooling of the house during summer
- Ensures current water supply

Additionally, it is equipped with a reservoir for rain water storage (for gardening needs, etc.)

Source: photovoltaic panels (72 sqm)
Works “on grid”, meaning that:
- It feeds the national grid with the energy produced by the panels (12 MWh/ year)
- It receives from the grid the electric energy needed for lighting and home appliances

The electric energy produced and delivered to the national grid generates income from:
- The sale of 12 MWh of electricity per year
- The green certificates government support scheme

It ensures protection from natural electrical discharges (lightning rod and ground outlet)

Indoor climate can be controlled through:

- Radiant heating/cooling system (low temperature hydronic)
- Heat recovery ventilation system
Stale air is removed from the bathrooms and kitchen, but not before yielding heat to fresh air that is drawn into bedrooms and the living room.

- CO2 control system

It reduces the amount of pollutants from domestic waste water that is discharged into the surface drainage system.
